PROJECTS

Human Rights Education Program in Uzbekistan "Capstone Project"

Promoting Ethical Policing and Investigative Interviewing in Central Asia

This Capstone Project aims to strengthen human rights research and youth-led academic engagement in Uzbekistan by integrating structured, field-based academic work into accredited Master’s and PhD programmes. Led by the Centre for Development and Justice International (CDJI), in partnership with the National Human Rights Centre (NHRC) the project supports 27 postgraduate students organised into 9 research teams. Each team will produce a Capstone academic research project (academic research paper) based on practical, data-driven inquiry, supported by mentoring from local experts and two international professors. These projects will serve as students’ formal thesis, diploma, or final coursework. They will be assessed by a 9-member jury and presented at a national forum. The top teams will participate in a study tour to the Netherlands, fostering international exchange and comparative learning
